Manfred Green, HU
Manfred Green is head of the Haifa University School of Public Health at the University of Haifa. His research interests include epidemiology methodology, the epidemiology of chronic diseases, emerging infectious diseases and infectious disease surveillance. He has published more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and several textbook chapters, including the chapter on Bioterrorsim in the latest edition of the Oxford Textbook of Public Health. He has been a co-director of three NATO Advanced Research Workshops, one on risk assessment and risk communication. For TELL ME project, Green is leading the TELL ME researchs regarding the identification of new challenges and new methods for outbreak communication. His group is also engaged in studying the impact of outbreak communication on risk groups, and defininig a framework model for this kind of communication.
