SARS false alarm in the UK
The alarm raised quickly as the news of a Danish family hospitalized in the UK because of SARS infection spreads all over the web. Two of these people had recently been to the Middle East, like the two cases of SARS-like virus recently identified – one of which was lethal.
Luckily, the Odense University Hospital where the patients are recovered has just informed that the six people suspected of having a coronavirus are not infected with the SARS-like virus; sample analysis confirmed that they contracted an influenza B, which is a common seasonal flu.
